Traveling with Land Hermit Crabs

If you need to travel with land hermit crabs, here are some tips on how to make the journey less stressful.

tick Take a mister bottle filled with fresh (dechlorinated) water with you. It is important that your hermit crab does not dry out. A gentle mist every few hours in low humidity.
tick Include an apple in your supplies. A slice of apple is great for journeys.
tick Seasponges are great for boosting humidity. If you line the container with sea sponges that have been misted your hermit crabs may climb on them and drink when they are thirsty. It also acts as insulation and padding.
