Adoption Center
The Crab Street Journal runs an Adoption Center which screens potential adopters and is involved in placing unwanted hermit crabs with caring owners. If you are interested in becoming an adopter please fill out an application form and add adoptioncenter [at] crabstreetjournal[dot]com to your contacts.
If you would like to list your crab to be adopted please email adoptees [at] crabstreetjournal[dot]com and fill out the form or view the current adopter profiles in your area. If you would like to update your already existing adoption center profile please fill out the adopter profile update or email a copy your current adopter profile listed on the forum, (if it was filled after July 2006) and add a * next to any updated fields to adoptioncenter [at] crabstreetjournal[dot]com
Sister Sites Program
The Crab Street Journal is pleased to announce their sister site program. This will be the first ever coalition of crustacean care sites under the banner of the Crab Street Journal. The Crab Street Journal will join chelipeds with other quality hermit crab care sites and form an internet island paradise for hermit crabs and their owners. This will make available an unlimited resource of knowledge for those dedicated to keeping healthy, happy hermit crabs. To become a sister site and join the Crustacean Care Coalition, send an email to sistersites[at]crabstreetjournal[dot]com including a link to your site for our review. If your site is approved you will be listed on the CSJ site as a sister site and there will be a small image for you to place on your site announcing your membership in CCC and status as a sister site.
There are guidelines for site approval. Your site must meet the following requirements:
1. Site must include care information, tips, and/or resources for crabbers

COPPA LAW
Unfortunately we cannot accept registrations from children under the age of 13 without a written parental permission note to be posted or faxed to us. We must have the note on file before your account will be activated. You are welcome to create a family account where the contact details (Name, location) and email address are only those of the adult who is creating the account. We are required by law to keep a filed parental permission note giving us permission to store the personal information of children under 13 in our forum and site database. If it is found that one of our members is under the age of 13 without said document their account will be de-activated until one is provided.
