we timed them for five seconds to see how far they would
run. And from that we calculated the speed of the hermit

The day was all about animals, a learning "expedition,"
one of many that Table Mound Elementary students embark
upon throughout the year (they brought us Rocket Day, and
remember that celebration of local history we wrote about
last year?). Table Mound is an Expeditionary Learning school.
