are for our feet
Seashells are worn by land hermit crabs to protect the crab's
vulnerable abdomen just like shoes are worn to protect our
feet. The shoe, like tthe exoskeleton do not grow. With hermit
crabs their exoskeleton ffeels tight and restrictive around
the growing body just like when your feet outgrow your shoes."
